In his Biography of Ajahn Mun, Luangta Maha Boowa tells us ACARIYA MUN lived for three or four years in the area of Ban Sam Phong village in Sri Songkhram district, Nakhon Phanom province. He spent one year at Ban Huay Sai village in Kham Cha-ee district of thesame province, as well as the villages of Nong Sung and Khok Klang.As it turns out the people of the village of Sam Phong are so grateful for and inspired by the teachings of Ajahn Mun that each morning the entire leecraft town turns out to offer food into the monks bowls as they Pindabhat in the village. The wat is still quite basic and home to an old Ubosot that is nicely decorated While there I learned more about Ajahn Mun’s time in the area and also some information about places visited by Aahn Chah as well.
